Summary of institution

Furness College is the largest provider of education and training in South Cumbria. It provides a wide range of professional and technical courses to over 16s across an extensive curriculum. In March 2015 the OFSTED reported that Furness College was a GOOD college with OUTSTANDING provision in Engineering. The college has an expanding higher education curriculum which now includes BEng (Hons) in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Its courses are validated by Lancaster University, the University of Cumbria and the University of Central Lancashire UCLan.
