Summary of institution

The University of Central Lancashire has facilitated learning and extended an excellent quality of experience, since The Institution for Diffusion of Knowledge was founded in 1828.

The External Liaison and Access Team within UCLan work with schools, colleges, young people and their caregivers to facilitate the opportunity for individuals to reach their full potential, regardless of background. With an aspirational and motivational ethos the team works collaboratively with schools and colleges to inspire, design and initiate activity, either off or on campus. The aims and objectives of events are to facilitate opportunity for young peoples’ personal growth and to promote awareness, initiating informed decision making skills and assisting students in important and transitional stages of their education.

Student Ambassadors are current UCLan students, trained in pro-actively supporting young people in both aspirational and educational activity.
